Wow, what a powerful and incredibly sweet picture. The solder next to the little girl is a local. He lives and raises his family in my part of the country. When the local paper ran this picture, I just about cried. It’s so sweet and powerful. Having a little 4 year old girl in formation is against Army regulations but not a single man there was strong enough or heartless enough to tell that little girl she couldn’t stand by her fathers side as he prepared to deploy overseas.
